Solar liability FAQ
Who is this coverage for?
Florida homeowners of 1–4 family dwellings with grid-tied solar, especially Tier 2 systems whose utility requires liability coverage for interconnection.
What does it include?
A $1 million liability limit and $5,000 in medical payments coverage for your covered solar system, subject to policy terms.
Does it replace my homeowners insurance?
No. It's a separate policy that works alongside your homeowners policy.
What do I need to get a quote?
Your property address, system size and tier, your utility and installer, and whether you need anyone added as an additional insured. A copy of your installer's license and certificate of insurance can help your quote.
Can I get coverage if I rent the home out?
Yes, tell us whether the home is owner or tenant occupied and we'll quote it.
How do I give my utility proof of coverage?
Once your policy is in place we'll help you get the document your interconnection agreement asks for.
